Surrender to Scantilly

Kicking off my Moda posts this time I am starting with a brand that was a little under wraps last time round, a small collection has gained a few pieces and is slowly coming out of it's shell and what a shell it is!

Scantilly come from the people behind Curvy Kate, and is pretty much the naughty older sister and when I say naughty I really mean it! These pieces are not for the faint hearted, there's peek a boos, bottomless briefs and even something that can leave you all wrapped up.

The Scantilly brochure is a prized possession, each piece comes with it's own story, with each day bringing about a new parcel for our lovely model Lottie, who makes the pieces look amazing.
Seeing the pieces brought to life on the lovely Laura Butler this time (Last Moda we saw Lottie)

I'm going to start with my favourite piece, having seen Peek A Boo in black in AW15 seeing it in red I fell in love right away, red is a favourite colour of mine I knew I HAD to have this, (I've even joked that I will be stalking all the sites selling it and if it sells out before I can get it I'll make my way to Scantilly offices and beat their door down! I love it so much)

So unfortunately the colour isn't as showing as much as it should do in my photos, its an amazing vibrant red, (see end of the post for the black version out in AW15 on Lottie)

Onto the cheekier side and the AMAZING bottom! See why they called it Peek A Boo?! Now this may not be too everyone tastes but if we are being completely honest these aren't your everyday briefs, the set does come with briefs that do have a covered bum, for those times where you need to cover yourself but for those cheekier moments I think these will be perfect.

Next for the season is the AMAZING real demi cup Invitation, I say real demi cup because it very low so would defiantly not be a bra for everyday purposes as they could be a hint of nip (as Laura said)

This was an accidental shot! But I think it's perfect ;)

The exquisite detailing on this set is what sells it for me the lace is amazing, soft and perfectly matched to the pink satin of the cups and then the rose gold 'S' are all it need to give it elegance yet sex appeal.

Finally a piece to Surrender yourself too,

The last piece in the new collection includes a basque to figuratively die for, rose gold embroidery and a harness type strappy detail along the top of the cup, I think this is going to be a big seller for the brand and I do wonder if thats the aim with the piece.
The collection itself screams decadence and seduction, it's nice to see styles like this in these sizes, Scantilly is limited to 30-38 DD-HH and bottoms are S-XL but please this is a new brand only just coming out this AW15 (the three styles mentioned in this post are SS16)
And the marketing strategy is genius, within the elusive brochure each piece in each part of the collect so AW15 starts on Monday and is about a parcel of delectable underwear being delivered each day from an unknown sender, and we are hoping to figure out who the sender is, the story makes it's way to Saturday where in the SS16 collection where #ScantillyTales will take place and a competition to finish the story of Scantilly will happen. I shall post more details on this when the time arrives. But for now, which pieces are people looking forward to? And more importantly what do you ladies think? Would you wear any of the pieces?

Just Janey

My sincere apologies that this has been a long time coming! My work life has taken over and not left me with much time to wear and review my other pretties, too many people are eating out! (I work in a restaurant) But I have a day off so here is my first review of the summer season!

I'm starting with a piece that caught my eye at Moda last August, Tutti Rouge were bringing out the Janey who is this bold, bright and beautiful, and very much like a bikini as I remember mentioning to Jessica Tutti's Creative Director.

Now my first attempt was a 34HH and the shorts in a large but I quickly discovered the bottoms were a tad too small and the bra on the big side, so a quick snap of some photos and I emailed them across to tutti towers and we decided that I would ship them back and get some different sizes.

About a week later the 32HH bra and XL shorts arrived and they both fit wonderfully! My favourite set of the year by far!

The bra band is spot on, a nice firmness which I can see lasting for a very long time, and the cups whilst being a little more east vs west than I am used too it it still a great shape for me and really does work under the majority of my clothes.

The XL bottoms also fit so well, the coverage at the back is great my whole butt is covered, and there isn't a high amount of muffin top digging over the top, I would prefer them to be a little higher waisted but thats because that is what I prefer these days as it is what I wear on a day to day basis but I can still wear these and be very comfy.

This is such an eye-catching set, even though it isn't a bikini, it still could worn for maybe sunbathing in your back yard, I know I would if I had the time too ;) it's too good to keep hidden away!

*Bra costs £39.50 and is available from the Tutti Rouge Big Cartel Store as are the shorts and they are £19.50*

The Moda Chapters Part One

Tutti Rouge

'Kiss and Tell' is the next instalment from Tutti, following the 'High Hopes' which is about to start making it's way into shops now. The 'Kiss and Tell collection includes some pretty bright bold and fun colours with a storyline inspired by 'Frivolous Fun' as well as 'The Thrill of The Chase!'

Tutti has their set styles which are their core collection, and what a collection they have, ranging from the half padded plunge in 'Lilianna' to 'Nichole' the non padded semi sheer bra, soft and satiny belongs to the padded plunge 'Beatrice' and Padded balconette Betty, lace comes in the form of 'Fifi', and new to the group is 'Jessica' the non padded plunge with added cleavage 'cookies'

All of the colours for AW15 are bright and eye catching for instance,
Beatrice in Emerald/Noir is my stand out for this collection, I adore green and it's a rare sight to see green in the fuller bust lingerie market so this has me pretty happy and I can't wait for it to wing it's way into my house. As we've all come to know and love it has the detailing we have come to in a way expect from the brand, the small touches that make it a Tutti piece.

Next comes Nicole who I must admit when first came out I didn't really take a shine to but this Cobalt Noir I'm fawning over I love the shade of blue it's seemingly a slightly darker royal blue than often seen, but a really great shade and something different from black.
I will admit I didn't take a photograph of the Emerald/Pink colour way, but the colour is exceptional just like the colour of the beatrice, and the pink is so different it clearly stands out.
Seeing the creme up close is nice too and the creme is a continuity colour for this style.

Liliana's bright colour this coming season is Magenta/Scarlet a lovely bold pink with sharp red ribbon detailing. This is a style I get along well with due to the plunge shape and the stretch lace at the top. I think it's an excellent shape for nearly almost all sizes and the plunge gives a great hint of cleavage without being too over the top!

This bright Scarlet beauty is Fifi an unpadded balconette with wild animal bows and an adorable keyhole in the briefs. The added impact for Fifi is the bra is sheer adding to the impact of what could be a plainer looking bra into something which is quite cheeky and creats a touch more 'sex appeal'

Another Balconette style for the brand is Betty who is in the luxurious floral printed satin fabric, contrasting teal leaves with different shades of pink with added frills on the band of the bra and along the top of the cups. This version of Betty is far cry from the original which came in a cream colour while was still had a floral pattern the colours in this make it stand worlds apart.

Lastly is the Jessica, the newest weapon in Tutti's arsonal, the non padded plunge with uplifting 'cookies' to put that little extra umph! The nude and black colour way makes me think this is smouldering and the hints of red in the details just adds a little extra. This is described in shoe terms by Tutti as being 'The Platform' not something for everyday but something that adds a certain 'wow' to an outfit, and I really think this will.

Another strong season for Tutti Rouge, I feel each yeah they are becoming more and more well know and well loved by the masses, some of the prints styles and colours make me think of the underwear in high street stores which would never fit me but I would always really want to own, and now I can own something better! A Tutti set that will fit and flatter me!
